It ain't 'KOTOR 2' remastered, but it's close.
'Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords' has long been considered the black sheep of Bioware's resume. It was farmed out to a then-fledgling Obsidian Entertainment, and released notoriously unfinished and unpolished. Regardless, it still had its fans, which is what led to probably one of the most extensive updates ever done, restoring most of the hidden content and script back to the game.
Today, the game gets its second most extensive update.
Developer Aspyr Media, mostly known for Mac ports of big-name Windows titles, has just released 'KOTOR II' on Mac and Linus, and with it, they also dropped the game's first major official update in 10 years. adding achievement support, Steam Cloud saving, much-needed controller support, and super-high resolution support up to 5K, for the 13 or so people on the planet crazy enough to own a 5K monitor. It also adds Steam Workshop support, and you can take a guess what was the very first thing Aspyr made available to download through it. Yep, the Restored Content mod,
All together, it's one good texture spit-shine away from being a remaster. And the cherry on top is that it's on sale for $8 right this second. Go. Now.
