It will be at E3.
The march of 'Final Fantasy' continues, and this time around, it's the 2006 PS2 original 'Final Fantasy XII' which will be making its return. Square Enix is bringing the game to the PS4 under the name 'Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Age.' This new version has some important changes- the chief one in terms of gameplay involves the Zodiac Job System. This 12-character progression system was first introduced in a special 2007 variant of 'FFXII' and has never before been released in the West.
The new version will also have a trial mode where monsters and enemies can be fought up to 100 successive battles. There will also be PS4 Trophies, auto-save, and reduced loading times.
Naturally, this PS4 version will have visual improvements, with characters and cutscenes in particular improved for HD. The game will also have 7.1 surround sound, with both voice acting and background music having been updated. Fortunately, there will also be an option to switch between the new and original soundtracks.
As of the announcement, 'Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age' is expected for 2017. The game will be playable at E3 at tSquare Enix booth.
