A DS4 mount makes the controls viable.
Sony has announced that the Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact are the latest device to support Remote Play with the PS4. The Z3 models join an exclusive group as the only devices to previously support Remote Play on the PS4 are the Vita and PlayStation TV. Z3 owners can now download the PS4 Remote Play application, but what really makes the Xperia Z3 Remote Play experience viable is the ability to use a DualShock4, which can be mounted to the Z3 with the GCM10 Game Control Mount accessory.
Of course, the Z3's Remote Play capabilities are limited to local Wi-FI.
Sony has also announced that Remote Play will be coming the Xperia Z2 series as well. A full anouncement on the Z2 is expected in the next few weeks, however, Sony notes that the "Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series will be the only smartphones and tablets to offer this unique gaming experience."
