Two new soundbars and two new A/V receivers have been detailed.
Sony has revealed several additions to its line of audio products. The upcoming collection includes the HT-ST9 & HT-NT3 soundbars, and the STR-DN1060 & STR-DN860 A/V receivers.
"We have seen such a huge interest from music enthusiasts and consumers who truly value the pure sound quality delivered with Hi-Res," said Mike Woulfe, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Sony Electronics' Sound Division. "Our new line of products provides consumers with the freedom to listen to music as they go from the bedroom, to the kitchen to the family room, while still delivering a high quality music experience."
The HT-ST9 7.1 soundbar features 9 independent speakers and 7 discrete amplifiers along with a wireless subwoofer. The device supports High-Res audio and HDMI with HDCP 2.2 for 4K playback. In addition, the speaker includes networked multi-room capabilities allowing customers to play Google Cast ready music and Spotify Connect on multiple speakers throughout the house through the Sony SongPal Link app. Meanwhile, the HT-NT3 is a 2.1 channel soundbar that offers many of the same features. Finally, the company's 7.2 channel STR-DN1060 & STR-DN860 A/V receivers include support for 4K, multi-room audio connectivity, Hi-Res audio including DSD, Wi-Fi connectivity, AirPlay, Bluetooth, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect.
Prices have not been revealed yet, but all four products are expected to launch in the spring.
