Video shows evolution from prototype to upcoming remaster.
'Resident Evil 0 HD' is still a ways away, with Capcom aiming for early 2016 release. To whet everyones whistle until then, they've released a new video showing off the new graphics, which can be kicked up to 1080p/60fps, but there's also a nifty twist.
See, lots of folks always assumed 'RE0' was a natural reaction to the Gamecube 'Resident Evil' remake, but in reality, it was originally planned for the N64. It even got to the prototype stage, shown off at the Tokyo Game Show back in 1999, then got overhauled once it became clear the Gamecube was on the horizon. For funsies, Capcom's actually included that prototype footage here, to compare against the Gamecube overhaul, and then against the beautiful HD remaster.
