At long last, 'the newest in a long line of 'Tomb Raider' games makes it over to the PlayStation side with 'Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration' on the PS4. (Releases on October 11th; check out the review here.) The PS4 version includes the base game, the 'Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch' DLC, the 'Cold Darkness Awakened' DLC, 35 expedition cards, 12 outfits, and 7 weapons. It also includes thew ne stuff, the '20 Year Celebration' content, which consists of the 'Blood Ties' chapter, the 'Lara's Nightmare,' the new co-op version of Endurance mode, a new cold-weather outfit and weapon inspired by 'Tomb Raider III,' a new Extreme Survivor mode for the campaign, and five classic Lara Croft in-game models.
And the Croft Manor section, 'Blood Ties' will be compatible with PlayStation VR, when it launches later this week.
Meanwhile, on the Xbox One and PC side, 'Blood Ties,' 'Lara's Nightmare,' Extreme Survivor difficulty, the new outfit, and classic models will be available (minus the VR compatibility for 'Blood Ties') for season pass owners or via $9.99 upgrade fee. All owners of the current Endurance mode will get co-op. (See here.)
