Stepped down at the end of March.
Today, it has been announced via a report on gamebusiness.jp that Platinum Games CEO and President Tatsuya Minami resigned from his position at the end of March. Kenichi Sato has been appointed as his successor. Additionally, Seigo Tabira and producer Atsushi Inaba have been appointed as company directors. No reason was given for Minami's departure.
Platinum Games will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, Tatsuya Minami had previously spoken optimistically about the company's future, and I'm sure that the studio is still is extremely capable hands. This year will see the release of 'Star Fox Zero', 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan' and 'Nier Automata', all of which involve the studio in some capacity.
