Uses ISO-Slant to craft 2.25D gameplay.
Roll7 made a big splash with their excellent and challenging 'OlliOlli,' and now, along with maverick publisher Devolver Digital, thye have revealed their new game, 'Not A Hero.' While 'Not A Hero' sports a similar art style to their first game, the similarities really end there. 'Not A Hero' is being pitch as a 2.25D cover-based shooter "that has no qualms handing you your own ass the minute you peek out from cover."
From Devolver Digital, "When an anthropomorphic rabbit/mayoral candidate from the future named BunnyLord needs a murderous loner to clean up the city during the election, Steve heroically offers up his dubious skills with a gun and lack of self-preservation instinct to this mysterious stranger from beyond. Now Steve must clear five districts of crime and recruit new heroes for his cause by sliding, diving, ducking, and taking cover through hundreds of full-throttle shootouts across the city."
Unlike 'OlliOlli', which debuted on the Vita, 'Not A Hero' is a multiplatform title from the get-go, and the game is due out on the PC, Mac, and Linux platforms as well as next-gen consoles (PS4 & Xbox One) this fall.
