Wii U and 3DS digital titles receive the spotlight.
The Nintendo Wii U and 3DS aren't exactly getting a ton of releases this year, but September is shaping up to be an interesting month for owners of both gaming consoles. Since the Nintendo eShop will be receiving several high profile independent releases in September, Nintendo is branding September as the #Nindies Summer Jam. Each week, the Nintendo Wii U eShop will highlight a separate indie game starting off with Thomas Happ's 'Metroid' inspired action title 'Axiom Verge' on September 1st.
One week later, on September 8th, Wii U gamers will be able to impress the Gods in 'Jotun: Valhalla Edition.' Then on September 15th, MP2 Games' 'Noitu Love: Devolution' arrives on both 3DS and Wii U. Drinkbox Games' 'Severed' then comes out on both devices on September 22nd, and the promotion ends September 30th with the release of Inti Creates' platform shooter 'Azure Striker GUNVOLT 2.' As part of the promotion, each of these titles will have a 10% discount their first week on the eShop.
