And a special announcement.
As part of Black Ops Fridays, Activision has revealed that there will be special new MP mode in 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III,' built around freerunning through Treyarch's own special courses. There will be different levels of difficulty attributed to different courses, and naturally, course times for Free Run will be tracked.
Free Run Mode will challenge players to figure out courses, use all of the different traversal techniques, and Free Run maps even have some weapon challenges built in.
Becoming good at traversal will help in other MP modes, and the weapon challenges, which feature weapon pick-ups and floating targets, will likewise be very helpful.
Also announced today, there will be some Loyalty rewards for veteran 'Call of Duty' MP players.
If you played and gotten to Level 10 MP in the last three 'Call of Duty' (or even better Level 31), you will earn some exclusive personalization items (reticle, camo)
You need to have your account linked through callofduty.com in order to get the credit and the rewards.
Other things touched on today include the Specialist maps, which tell some of the story for each specialist, the stand alone story of 'Black Ops III,' and the nature of the campaign story as having narrative levels the likes of which players have seen in the Zombie mode stories.
