In an early announcement to retailers, Buena Vista is preparing 'Need for Speed' for Blu-ray on August 5.
Framed for a crime he didn't commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD MA 7.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Capturing Speed: Making An Authentic Car Movie; Ties That Bind; The Circus Is In Town; Feature Audio Commentary with Director Scott Waugh and Aaron Paul; Monarch & Maverick Outtakes with Introduction by Director Scott Waugh; 4 Deleted Scenes with Introductions by Director Scott Waugh; The Sound Of Need For Speed; "B-Camera" - Crash Compilation with introduction by Director Scott Waugh (Easter Egg); and Need For Speed™ Rivals Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has not been announced yet.
