Who needs eggs?
Just when you thought 'ARK: Survival Evolved,' had stepped it up with dino breeding (see here), it seems that it's the mammals turn to propagate. Coming as part of major content patch v. 220, mammal breeding will also bring with it mammal babies.
How this will work is that a pregnant female mammal will have a baby (or twins or even triplets) on-board for gestation, during which time the mother's belly will get larger and she will need to consume greater amounts of food all the way to double consumption. (I hope you're with me here.) Then the birth happens, followed by a mating cooldown.
Eventually, mutations (good) will be added to this system along with inbreeding (bad) penalties.
Also, get ready for Ichthyornis, the apparently loud and abnormally large seagull. Why would you want such a creature? Well, this bird tends to bring fish to its master as treats, and these fish are given special extra healing vitamins courtesy of the bird's beak.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' is in Early Access on PC and is coming to both the Xbox One and PS4 next year.
