LS40 and LS20 coming this year.
Earlier this year, LucidSound's first headset, the LS30, debuted. With it, LucidSound established their bona fides as a headset maker. (Review here.) Along the same lines of more performance and less fluff, LucidSound has announced two new headsets for 2016.
The LS40 Surround Universal Gaming Headset will feature DTS Headphone:X surround sounds as well as an integrated set of smartphone controls. These features come on top of the form factor and other design characteristics of the LS30, which include independant game and chat audio controls, 50mm tuned drivers, subtle lifestyle styling, and a lit when muted boom mic. The LS40 will support use with the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile devices.
The LS20 Amplified Universal Gaming Headset goes in a different direction, wherein the headset is a wired model that supports both active and passive modes. Via a built-in rechargeable battery, the LS20 has its own amp, but the headset can still be used as a conventional passive model. The LS20 will work with the PS4, Xbox One, PC. Mac or anything else with a 3.5mm headset connection.
These two new headsets will be at E3 2016. Expect impressions soon.
