More conventional and more finished.
Valve has shared a picture of the latest Steam controller design and as promised, the touchscreen is gone, replaced by a very conventional button cluster. Beneath that, two sets of four buttons help to the give the controller a much more familiar look.
Not pictured is the controller's underside, which hosts two buttons not found on PlayStation and Xbox models, but which are reminiscent of Scuf custom controllers.

Without the touchscreen or more radical button layout, the controller's main feature continues to be its twin haptic trackpads. This latest prototype, known as "Dog," may look final, but Valve has been mum on anything like a price or release date.
