Five Bob Hope flicks are heading to Blu-ray later this year.
In an early announcement to retailers, Kino is preparing 'Road to Bali,' 'Son of Paleface,' 'The Lemon Drop Kid,' 'Road to Rio,' and 'My Favorite Brunette' for Blu-ray in summer 2017.
'Road to Bali' - Hope and Crosby have to flee Melbourne in order to avoid two marriage proposals, and find themselves in Bali, where they find themselves vying for the attention of the Princess and are targeted by thieves.
'Son of Paleface' - Junior Potter returns to claim his father's gold, which is nowhere to be found. "Mike" is the luscious head of a gang of thieves, and Roy Barton is the federal marshal hot on her trail.
'The Lemon Drop Kid' - Bob Hope stars as Sidney Melbourne (a/k/a "The Lemon Drop Kid"), a con man who offers a friendly "sure thing" horse tip to the girlfriend of mobster Moose Moran.
'Road to Rio' - Two inept vaudevillians (Bing Crosby, Bob Hope) stow away on a Brazilian-bound ocean liner and foil a plot by a sinister hypnotist to marry off her niece to a greedy fortune hunter.
'My Favorite Brunette' - A baby photographer plays private eye to help a woman find her uncle, kidnapped by a master criminal.
Specs, supplements, and suggested list prices have not been detailed yet.
