Full plate for the former Ubisoft Toronto director.
Between producing duties on the 'Assassin's Creed' franchise and even greater responsibility at Ubisoft Toronto, Jade Raymond was a mover and a shaker for Ubisoft right up until her departure last year (see here). And now, as announced in a letter from Jade, this industry veteran is in charge of opening a new EA studio. The new studio is called "Motive" and is based in Montreal. Part of the new studio's purpose is to directly support BioWare Montreal as it develops 'Mass Effect: Andromeda.'
Opening Motive is just part of Jade's new repsonsibilities. Jade will also be overseeing the work over a Visceral Games, where former Naughty Dog dev, Amy Hennig, is the Creative Director in charge of developing a new 'Star Wars' title.
From Jade Raymond, "Getting back to what I love about making games, creating a new studio, working alongside world-class developers, ideating new IP and being a part of Star Wars...this is going to be fun!"
