The mobile version said to be very similar to its console and PC counterparts.
'XCOM: Enemy Unknown' is the latest iteration of the classic alien-conflict based PC franchise and it is arriving on iOS today. The tactical turn-based role-playing game scored big when it released on consoles, PCs, and Macs back in October, as many players were hooked by the games excellent control scheme and tactical fun.
The iOS version checks in at $20, but nets both an iPad and iPhone version. 2K has marketed this version as having lower resolution textures and fewer maps, but very similar to its console counterparts. The iOS version supports cloud-saving so that game saves can be shared between the iPhone and iPad. Device support is limited to the iPad 2 and up, the iPad mini, iPod touch 5 and up, and the iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5.
Incidentally, the PS3 version recently became part of the PS Plus Instant Game Collection.
