In contrast to a rumor.
For whatever reason a rumor had sprung up about 'Guitar Hero Live,' wherein the GHTV part of the game, aka 200 music video tracks in two channels, required that Xbox One and PS4 users have active Xbox Gold and PS Plus subscriptions to play. Fortunately, that is not the case.
An Activision's PR representative clarified this to High-Def Digest earlier today, and now, one of the game's producers has mentioned it on Twitter.
Just for the record, you don't need XB Gold or PS+ to play GHTV... just thought I'd put that out there #GuitarHeroLive

It's understandable that users would be concerned, as GH TV is such an important part of 'Guitar Hero Live' and is expected to grow post release.
