PC game means big battles.
Yager, the developer behind acclaimed 'Spec Ops: The Line,' is working on something big, as in 'Dreadnought' big. The PC game, which is due out in 2015, is set "in a futuristic era of war and hardship, where players take on the role of a mercenary spaceship captain." More importantly, "battleships in the game are massive spacecraft that come in varied shapes and classes" and controlled by the player down to the sub-system.
In a new commentary video from the team, each ship serves an important purpose, and in turn, almost each one is destroyed as the match goes on. Watch a few minutes, and judge for yourself if it is in fact as mesmerizing as it seems.
Not only are the ships' specific class, size, and role important (corvettes, dreadnoughts, technical ships), but the movement and direction is crucial in taking on the opposition. (Jumping is a crucial aspect.) One of the best parts of the match in the video may be the unseen corvette that after skittering away comes under to unleash torpedoes and take down the much bigger (and more capable) dreadnought.
