The Pokemon Company used the kickoff of the Pokemon World Championships in Boston today to announce that Pokemon fighting game 'Pokken Tournament' will finally be escaping Japanese arcades to the WiiU early next year.
The game, developed by 'Tekken' producer Katsuhiro Harada, is meant to have the same universal appeal as the games,
“'Pokkén Tournament' combines the best elements of a traditional fighting game with an authentic Pokémon experience,” said J.C. Smith, director of marketing at The Pokémon Company in a statement.. “Fans will be thrilled to see their favourite Pokémon battle in a whole new way.”
