It'll be one of the first PlayStation VR titles.
Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit have announced today that 'Pool Nation VR' is coming to PlayStation VR. While no exact release date was given, the developers stated that it will release "this October." That means the billiards simulation will be out either as a launch title for PSVR (October 13th) or shortly afterwards.
The virtual reality pool game was previously only available on the HTC Vive, and even allowed players to play darts. The PS4 version of 'Pool Nation VR' will also add a new feature into the mix: multiplayer hangouts. These sessions will let up to eight players relax while shooting pool.
While no video of the PS4 version has been released yet, this launch trailer for the PC release will give players a good idea of what to expect out of virtual reality pool.
"Playing pool in VR feels just like breaking balls in real life," said Perilous Orbit CEO Richard Kidd. "You get to look around the table, line-up your shot with just the right angle as you would in your local pool hall."
'Pool Nation VR' released for PC on June 1st, and comes to PlayStation 4 "this October."
