The building blocks of procedurally generated sound.
The official soundtrack for 'No Man's Sky,' subtitled 'Music for an Infinite Universe,' will be released June 17, a few days before the game itself launches for PS4 and PC. Celebrating the announcement, one of the album's tracks, "Supermoon," is now up on SoundCloud for those hoping for a sneak peek of the soundtrack.
'No Man's Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe' was created by British instrumental band 65daysofstatic. It consists of 10 tracks and six "soundscapes" that, together with a collection of audio loops, make up the basis of the procedurally generated game's music.
The album will launch on June 17 on all primary digital markets, as well as on a two-CD set, a two-record vinyl set, and a four-record deluxe vinyl set. You can preorder any version of the upcoming release over on the Laced Records website.
