Conquer North Africa while you're waiting for the bus.
'Rome: Total War' is breaking the restraints of the desktop and going mobile with a port for iPad, Feral Interactive announced.
Originally developed by Creative Assembly in 2004 as the third game in the 'Total War' franchise, 'Rome: Total War' allows players to micromanage the Roman republic and empire as it engages enemies on its own continent and across the Mediterranean. Feral Interactive published the game's Mac port in 2010.
According to Feral Interactive, the iPad version will be able to handle battles with thousands of on-screen units, allowing players to get the full desktop experience. The game's two expansions, 'Barbarian Invasion' and 'Alexander,' are also planned for release at a later date.
No release date has been set yet, but you can watch the short reveal trailer below.
