Super Mario Maker Bookmark will be a major addition.
'Super Mario Maker' isn't just a big hit. It isn't just a game played the world over, full of levels from the tiniest creators to contest winners, it's also a game that anyone can pick up, and either start tinkering with a course or start playing the many shared courses. Of course, that has meant that finding and browsing levels is a bit of a challenge.
Come Monday, not only will there be new pieces with which to build levels (like P Warp Doors!), but there will also be a new web portal through which players can bookmark levels to levels to play via a computer or smart phone.
Here is the new content:
Fire Koopa Clown Car: This volcanic vessel is capable of shooting fireballs as well as a powerful charged shot that can even destroy Blocks. It’s perfect for creating shoot-’em-up-style courses.
P Warp Doors: Unlike regular Warp Doors, these are only visible while a P Switch is active – perfect for creating truly devious Ghost House courses.
Bumper: This bouncy donut-shaped object sends Mario bounding away when touched.
World Records: Now pages will display the World Record for each course uploaded, displaying the fastest clear time.
Super Mario Maker Bookmark: Levels that players have bookmarked to play later using the Web portal will be accessible from the Course World tab.
The promised web portal will be available here via a new link once it launches. (It will require using a Nintendo Network ID.)
This web portal, much like the game itself, reflects big changes at Nintendo.
