Delayed to ensure it's as good as possible.
'Bloodstained', Koji Igarashi's terrific looking spiritual successor to the 'Castlevania' series, has announced that the game will not hit its planned 2017 release window. The game will now see the light of day in the first half of 2018. The reasoning behind this being that a new development team has been brought on to assist with production, as rushing to hit the current release window with the current team would lead to a game that falls below the quality Igarashi wants the game to have, stressing that this is all to ensure the game is the absolute best it can be. You can watch the delay announcement video below:
It's a pretty big delay, but I have the utmost faith in this game considering the spectacular demo they released to backers during E3. Igarashi's 'Castlevania' titles are some of my favorite games ever, and I'm happy for him and his team to take as long as they need to with this.
