Everything you should know before you jump in.
Gearbox has released an extended "bootcamp" trailer for its upcoming team shooter 'Battleborn' that gives players a quick introduction to the game, its universe, and various gameplay mechanics just in time for the open beta.
The 'Battleborn' open beta is already underway for some players (the PS4 beta has been up since Friday), but others are still waiting to join the party on Wednesday, April 13, when the open beta goes live on PC and Xbox One. For all players interested in checking out the game, though, this new trailer offers quick information on the types of game modes the game offers and the roster of characters that players will be able to choose from. Best of all, the whole package is filled with the kind of quick humor that Gearbox became known for in the 'Borderlands' series.
For players that want to get right to the point, the video also includes a helpful table of contents along the bottom of the screen that allows viewers to skip around to the bits that matter to them if they just want to get a quick overview of the game modes or check out a specific faction of characters.
If you want to jump into the open beta yourself, it's already live on PS4 and will launch on PC and Xbox One on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Pacific). The beta will end for everyone next Monday, April 18, at 10 a.m Eastern (7 a.m. Pacific).
