Other PC refinements tailored to the game's open nature.
'Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes' hit consoles last March, but come this December, Big Boss' latest will hit the PC. The title is scheduled for December 18th on Steam and is the set-up for a much bigger title, 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.' When Kojima first revealed the FOX engine that underpins both games, (as well as 'PES 2015'), the merits and ease of PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions were touted, and so a PC version of 'Ground Zeroes' could be considered well past due.
More importantly, the PC version of 'Ground Zeroes' will be "4K compatible and will feature an increase in the number of simultaneous light sources, the number of models that can be displayed on-screen, and increased shadow resolution."
From the High-Def Digest review of 'Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes:'
"Unlocking the PlayStation exclusive 'Déjà Vu' mission really takes some doing without a guide. The mission itself has a few nice 'Metal Gear Solid' moments, which feature a little of the goofy things missing in the 'Ground Zeroes' main mission, but feels very slight even for fan service. It certainly doesn't seem worth a double-dip purchase."
