Well, if you're gonna go as big as 'Gears of War 4' is planning to, making the thing sound big is just as important. To wit, Microsoft has let the cat out of the bag that Ramin Djawadi will be underscoring all the lovely mayhem when 'Gears 4' drops in October.
Djawadi's no stranger to gaming. He scored both the most recent 'Medal of Honor' titles from 2010 and 2012, and fun trivia, he was an audio tech on 'System Shock 2'. But it's his film and TV resume that makes him more than capable for this job. On top of his steady gig scoring 'Game of Thrones' (a job that, good lord, he just keeps getting better at.), he's also got the first 'Iron Man', 'Pacific Rim', 'Person of Interest', 'Prison Break, and Duncan Jones' 'Warcraft' flick under his belt.
So, what's his 'Gears' soundtrack going to sound like? Well, it just so happens Microsoft dropped a quick 4 minute look at Djawadi at work on the game's score. Have a listen for yourself.
