Though everyone still gets one for free.
Blizzard now allows players with Battle.net accounts to purchase the opportunity to rename themselves even after they've used their one free name change.
BattleTags—players' digital pseudonyms in the Blizzard online community—have traditionally been fairly permanent, with the publisher only allowing players one free name change before their moniker was effectively set in stone. Now, if players have already used their freebie but still hate their online identity, they can pay $10 for the chance to rename themselves yet again—not an insignificant price for something as purely aesthetic as a fake name but perhaps still worth it for players who have matured far past whatever names their 10-year-old selves came up with years ago.
Newly created accounts still have that one free name change available, and players who haven't yet used theirs still have that option as well.
