The 2020 generation.
Ubisoft, the publisher and developer of multiple hit franchises, including 'Assassin's Creed,' 'Just Dance,' 'Rabbids,' and 'Far Cry,' has announced plans to open a theme park based off of their portfolio of gaming brands.
Previously, Ubisoft Motion Pictures brought the Rabbids Dark Ride to the French theme park Futuroscope. Now, in partnership with RSG, Ubisoft Motion Pictures is developing a 10,000 square meter theme park in Kuala Lumper, Malaysia.
From Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, "Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game. In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development."
Naturally, visitors can expect 'Assassin's Creed,' 'Just Cause,' and 'Rabbids' themed areas and rides, but what about Ubisoft's other brands? Ubisoft has an entire stable of 'Tom Clancy' brands, including 'Rainbow Six' and 'Splinter Cell.' 'Far Cry' is another big brand, but what 'South Park?'
It's even possible that by 2020, Ubisoft will have another major IP. As such it's likely that some park of the park will be dedicated to rides that can be changed regularly.
