The Arsenal legend is testing himself in a new sport.
'NBA 2K17' is just filled with crossovers this year. Last week it was announced that 'Creed' star Michael B. Jordan will be in the basketball simulation's career mode, and now 2K has announced that Thierry Henry will be playable. The iconic Arsenal and Barcelona striker is an avid basketball fan and regularly attends San Antonio Spurs games.
While Henry won't make an NBA roster, he will be a playable character in 'NBA 2K17's Blacktop mode. This allows players to play street pick-up games that range from regulation matches to 1-on-1 play. "Being a basketball and NBA fan since I was a kid, I'm honoured to be the first football player ever to be playable in NBA 2K17," said Henry. "Seeing myself go toe to toe with the legends of the sport is an amazing feeling."
'NBA 2K17' launches September 20th on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Gamers will be able to start their careers early on September 9th by downloading the free 'Prelude.'
