Square Enix putting all of the 'Final Fantasy' eggs in one basket.
Debuting three years ago In Japan, 'Final Fantasy Type-O' was a runaway success, and the Square has spent years teasing a Western release. After finally deciding to remake the game in HD for the PS4 and Xbox One, Square Enix will finally bring the game to the North America market in March under the guise of 'Final Fantasy Type-O HD.' At that point, the gaming audience at large (beyond the small PSP market of 'Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII') will be able to vet this latent 'Final Fantasy gem.
Of course, HD re-releases are somewhat commonplace for the new consoles, and that may be why Square Enix is offering quite the sweetener for those who pre-order 'Final Fantasy Type-O HD.' The pre-order bonus will be none other than the a playable demo of 'Final Fantasy XV.' For both fans of the series and fans of console gaming, 'Final Fantasy XV' will be more than just the series PS4 and Xbox One debut, it will be the test case for the relevance of the main 'Final Fantasy' series. The demo has been dubbed 'Episode Duscae' and will feature bith early and more advanced sections of the game.
