It's also sold out in North America, in case you were interested in more bad news.
During its presentation of 'Fallout 4,' publisher Bethesda announced a special 'Pip-Boy Edition' that includes a wearable replica of the franchise's famous wrist-mounted gadget. The replica features a hole for a smartphone, and when paired with the upcoming game's Pip-Boy companion app, this could give series fans the feeling of controlling their very own Pip-Boy.
Unfortunately, not every smartphone owner will be able to get in on the fun. According to a post on the Bethesda blog, the wearable comes with foam inserts that fit the iPhone 6, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy 5, and Samsung Galaxy 4. Similarly sized smartphones should also be able to fit in the provided sleeves, but larger phablets will be simply too big. Considering that many of last year's more popular new smartphones were part of the phablet market—such as the iPhone 6 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and the Nexus 6—this could affect a fair number of hopeful fans who were looking forward to toying around with their own Pip-Boy. The large devices will still be able to run the game's companion app, but players with these phones won't get the added satisfaction of playing with a device on their wrist.
In the same blog post, Bethesda notes that Pip-Boy Editions in the USA and Canada are completely sold out. European players, however, can still hold out hope for snagging their own.
