Reconizing how important sound is to VR.
Leading gaming audio product manufacturer Turtle Beach has come to E3 2016 with a flurry of product developments, launching their new Elite Pro line for eSports, debuting and early prototype of their HyperSound Glass, and showcasing its all-new Stealth 350VR headset and Stream Mic.
The Stealth 350VR is an amplified gaming headset built to provide clearance for VR cables and headbands. It boasts a 30+ hour rechargeable battery, Variable Bass Boost, and twin 50mm Neodymium speakers capable of reproducing fully dynamic audio. For in-game chat, there's also a removable noise-canceling mic with a "Mic Monitoring" feature that allows you to hear your own voice so you don't end up shouting at everyone. The headset's audio cables are also detachable.
Look for the Stealth 350VR to drop sometime this fall with a $79.95 MSRP.
In addition to the Stealth 350 VR, Turtle Beach will also showcase the new Stream Mic, which allows players to live-stream audiophile quality sound directly from their Xbox One, PS4, PC, or Mac platforms. The Stream Mic also boasts adaptive mic patterns, customizable software, a zero-latency headphone out, and a dual-capsule mic array with advanced digital processing.
In other words, if you want professional quality audio for your live streams, give the Turtle Beach Stream Mic a look when it launches this fall with a $99.95 MSRP.
Lastly, and perhaps most fascinating, Turtle Beach will also be showing off an early prototype of their HyperSound Glass. What is HyperSound, exactly? You know how flashlights direct light into beams? HyperSound creates a narrow beam of audio that can be "pointed to a very specific" location… which means you can target specific people standing or sitting in very precise area. The idea would be to not only incorporate this technology into speakers, but also in things like desktop monitors, commercial displays, and possibly even automobiles.
If you're hitting up E3 this week and want to see the Steath 350VR, Stream Mic, HyperSound Glass over even their new Elite-Pro headsets, make sure to drop by the Turtle Beach booth (#4800).
