Another day, another deluge.
One more time around, on the last day of E3, to get all the interesting tidbits that may have fallen through the cracks. Let's do this.
There's A Pretty Good Reason 'Destiny: Rise Of Iron' Is Current Gen Only
While talking to Gamespot, Bungie's current director Christopher Barrett was able to confirm a pretty compelling reason why'Rise of Iron's going current gen only. 90% of the game's user base at this point is playing there.
""It was a good time for us to really focus on the current-gen platforms; we've said that over 90 percent of our players now are on the current-gen platforms. We've gotten to the point where to continue to add new stuff, we would start to have to take things away. And so, we really wanted to make sure 'Rise of Iron' is the best experience possible. So we've focused on current-gen for now."
Barrett went on to reiterate that Bungie has a separate upgrade path for the poor souls still playing on PS3 and Xbox, but didn't have any specifics to share just yet.

Quantic Dream's 'Fahrenheit'/'Indigo Prophecy' Remaster Is Coming To PS4
While Quantic Dream's Detroit continues to be showered with praise on the show floor, the studio also managed to slip in the news via Twitter that 'Fahrenheit'/'Indigo Prophecy' will be getting its remastered edition onto the PSN on July 18th for the low, low price of $14.99. The remaster has been on Steam since last year, and we're pretty sure this'll be a relative straight port of that, so expect the full 1080p at 60fps treatment.

Here's The First Bunch Of Xbox Play Anywhere Titles
Microsoft has a page up on their official site showcasing the first wave of games that will be, essentially, cross-buy between Xbox One and Windows 10. And here's what they are:
Gears of War 4
Forza Horizon 3
ReCore
Sea of Thieves
Halo Wars 2
Scalebound
Killer Instinct Season 3
State of Decay 2
Ark: Survival Evolved
Cuphead
We Happy Few
Crackdown 3
No surprises in there, exactly, but the idea of taking 'Cuphead' on the go pleases me immensely. Basically, though, if it's first party Microsoft? Chances are good it's a cross-buy from here on.

Good News. Old School 'Final Fantasy' Fans! 'Final Fantasy XV' Has A Turn-Based Mode!
Fans of old-school turn-based RPGs are a dying breed, but it appears Square Enix hasn't forgotten where it came from. In a livestream this week, director Hajima Tabata revealed that 'Final Fantasy XV' apparently includes an option called Wait Mode, where gameplay will stop dead so you can decide your next actions. You're welcome, old schoolers.

CD Projekt Red's 'Gwent' Game Is No Joke
While most folks were oboard with CD Projekt's standalone 'Gwent' game, if you were expecting the game to just be just random Gwent encounters from now till the end of time, think again. CD Projekt showed a demo of the title to press a few days ago, and the demo shows that the game will have full-fledged hours-long single-player campaigns for its characters, complete with branching dialogue ad combat, the whole nine. Basically, you're not going back to work ever again, 'Gwent' is your life now.

Here's What's Going Down With That 'Nuka World' DLC For 'Fallout 4'
Bethesda's showings on Sunday only offered a brief glimpse of what's in store for 'Fallout 4's next DLC. Well, the Steam page has finally gone up, and it includes a synopsis, with a intriguing line:
Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. Lead lethal gangs of Raiders and use them to conquer settlements, bending the Commonwealth to your will. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures, and more. Enjoy the ride!
Sounds an awful lot like Raiders are about to become their own faction. But hey, anything could happen, it's 'Fallout'.

'Dead Rising 4' May Yet Rise On PS4
While 'Dead Rising 3' was one of the games meant to sell the Xbox One, and never jumped ship anywhere else except for PC, it appears that this might not be the case for 'Dead Rising 4'. In a statement made to Gamespot, Microsoft outlined the extent of their exclusivity deal with Capcom. On PC, the game remains exclusive to Windows 10 for 90 days, for consoles, the game is Xbox One exclusive for one year, much like the deal Crystal Dynamics had with 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' (which, btw, I'm stunned Sony didn't drop the 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' PS4 bombshell yet).
Meaning, come December 2017, old Frank's a free agent, and could end up on PS4 after all. We'll see.

Wanna Try Out A PS VR? You Can!
The big, looming problem for all the VR stuff hitting is, like The Matrix, nobody can be told what any game on VR's like. You have to see it for yourself. And Sony is making sure that happens.
Sony has teamed up with Best Buy and Gamestop to put PS VRs in the hands of the general public, starting TODAY. Right now, there's only about 30 locations, which will only have four games available to try out: 'PlayStation VR Worlds', 'Eve: Valkyrie', 'Headmaster', 'Battlezone' and 'SuperHyperCube'. They're planning to expand that radually as the October 13th release date gets a bit closer, with a rollout planned to around 300 locations nationwide, with more games. Yes, we're pretty sure Mizoguchi's VR suit will not be part of the kiosk.

Think You're Done With The 'Resident Evil 7' Demo? Think Again.
I've been through the 'Resident Evil 7' demo a couple of times now, each time, teeth clenched a little tighter, and only found a couple of scant differences from my first playthrough. That said, there's a LOT more than meets the eye in there, and Eurogamer, god bless them, has gone to the trouble of putting together a short but sweet guide, showing all the branching ways to get to a logical ending. It's neat that just the demo has all this in it, even beyond what could be done in 'P.T.'. For the record, though, even they don't know what the mannequin's finger's for. Check it out right over here.
