Beta registration is up and running.
As during last year's Sony E3 briefing, Bungie has expressed an enormous devotion to the PS4 with a massive presence, exclusive features and, of course, Alpha and Beta special accesses. It all comes just short of being a platform-exclusive title, but there's no denying. Bungie loves Sony, and Sony loves Bungie.
A Mars mission, the Alpha running from June 12 to June 14, which PS4 owners can sign up for right here, and early access to the beta on July 17 (sign up here) are all perks of this newfound relationship, but it was only the start for 'Destiny' as this year's E3. Bungie has finally let loose the multiplayer to the masses, and, predictably, it's very 'Halo.'
That's just one of many, many videos popping up on YouTube. Once the alpha hits, expect much more.
Vigilant research on the subject will show a lot of shotgun jumping, 'Call of Duty' style domination matches and Spartan-like abilities, all wrapped in the customization elements unique to the larger 'Destiny' experience.
Bungie's latest is due Sept. 9 on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The best experience will most definitely be found on the PS4, but, in reality, not by much. This is supposed to be a massive, expansive experience, and one or two extra missions and customization options, while wonderful, are unlikely to make much of a difference. Don't fret, Xbox players. Bungie hasn't abandoned you, they just have more of a job convincing the Playstation-faithful to make the leap.
