Both 'Metro 2033' and 'Metro: Last Light' re-mastered.
In an announcement that had practically slipped out seven weeks ago, 4A Games' 'Metro 2033' and 'Metro: Last Light' have been retouched for release on the PS4 and Xbox One and re-release on PC as 'Metro Redux.'
The new console versions are promised at 60FPS with improved resolutions and overall visual effects, but even the PC version has a new coat of visual effects. The retouching/remastering involves at its core a newer version of the 4A Engine, which should take advantage of newer PC video card capabilities and drivers.
The 'Redux' versions of the two games include all of the DLC.
Buyers will have options. Each 'Redux' title will be available as individual digital downloads for $24.99 a piece and as the two title hard copy 'Metro Redux' at $49.99. The release window is in the post E3 period of this summer.
