The first of two downloadable expansions.
FromSoftware are developing two expansions for 'Dark Souls III,' and the first will be arriving this year. The 'Ashes of Ariandel' expansion will release October 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The standalone expansion will cost $14.99, but is also available for $24.99 for those who purchase the 'Dark Souls III' season pass which also contain the second expansion that is set to release in "early 2017."
'Ashes of Ariandel' takes place within Ariandel, a frozen land filled with new enemies. Players will attempt to discover what has happened to the area, as Bandai Namco is promising "exciting lore to expand the overarching storyline." The DLC will also add new weapons, armor sets and magic for players to use in combat.
