There's even 'Shadow of the Colossus' and 'The Last of Us' content.
With the 'Ultimate Evil Edition' of 'Diablo III' a mere two weeks away, Blizzard has carefully detailed all of the new features of 'Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition' on the PS4, many of which will extend to other console versions. For details on character transferring between console versions, go here.
First off, 'The Ultimate Evil Edition' includes both the original 'Diablo III' and the the 'Reaper of Souls 'expansion set, which means a new chapter, the new Crusader class, and the free roam Adventure Mode.
For those that pre-order, say from Amazon, they will net a pair of Infernal Pauldrons (shoulder plates), which are wearable at level 1, provide bonuses to Vitality, Life per Second, and Cooldown Reduction, and are primed and ready for transmogrification.
Then there are the console-exclusive features. There is Apprentice Mode, "which boosts lower level players when they’re playing with higher level players; the Nemesis system, which sends monsters that have slain your character on to wreak havoc in your friends’ games; and more—all of which make playing with your friends even more challenging and rewarding."
Also, on the PlayStation platforms, there is more exclusive content: "a Nephalem Rift inspired by The Last of Us, and a larger-than-life transmog armor set based on Shadow of the Colossus."
Blizzard Production Director John Hight describes the 'Ultimate Evil Edition' as the "maxed-out version of the game, with Diablo III and all of the latest updates for that, plus all of the new content that we launched with the Reaper of Souls expansion."
Even better, Hight has described how the PS4 version will stay up to date. The "next-gen console architecture makes it much easier for us to offer ongoing patch support for the PS4 version of the Ultimate Evil Edition. This means that as we continue to patch the game on PC, we’ll now be able to roll out related patch content, as appropriate, on PS4 as well. It’ll take some additional time beyond the PC patch rollout, but we’ll get them to you as quickly as possible."
