New game full of new systems, new features, and a long set of Spidey costumes.
In just one month's time, 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is coming to a bevy of platforms, including the PS4 and Xbox One. Today, Beenox has shared a walkthrough which illustrates several new features. Spider-Man now swings through the city with dual trigger control, where each trigger controls the corresponding arm. Those webs connect to buildings and other structures in a new way as well, and Beenox has also evolved the web rush mechanic to allow players to specifically guide Spider-Man to a targeted spot, which is also important in combat.
Side missions that feature citizens in danger and other heroic opportunities are now part of a 'Hero of Menace' system which affects how law enforcements and other NPCs act in the game as a whole.
As requested, players can now de-garb and become Peter Parker with Aunt May's house filling the role of hideout. When again becoming Spider-Man, Beenox has shown that more than a dozen different Spider-Man costumes, each with different perks, will fill out the player's choice of wardrobe options.
Mission design has changed, opening up into more free approach areas. Spider-Man now has a full set of takedowns to employ through stealth. Overall the combat system seems much more robust.
