That's a hard line on Hardline.
Visceral Games' Steve Papoutsis took to the 'Battlefield' blog upon the closure of the game's big E3-lead beta to announce that the testing wasn't quite over yet. Another beta will hit all of the game's scheduled platforms - that's the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and PC - sometime this fall, though presumably before the game's Oct. 21 release date.
"Even though it is still early and we have a lot of work left to do, it was important to us that you could see and feel for yourself what we’re doing with Hardline," said Papoutsis.
He goes on to promise more details of the game's multiplayer and TV-inspired single-player campaign in the future, but not without squeaking out a few teasers. It looks like conquest and rush are likely coming back.
"We have plenty of new modes in the game that really play off the cop and criminal theme, as well as the return of fan-favorites. The variety in maps is also something that Battlefield fans have never experienced before, from subterranean grow labs to the streets of Miami, complete with all the vibe and flavor that city has to offer."
