The new receiver offers networking, 3D support and dual HDMI outs all at a low price point.
The Yamaha 67 series has received a lot of praise, and as the new top dog in the line the RX-V867 has a lot to live up to.
Like the rest of the receivers in the line, the V867 offers HD audio decoding, 3D support and plenty of HDMI inputs. Where it steps up, though, it does so in a big way.
It all starts with networking support. The RX-V867 can handle streams from internet radio stations and sources like Rhapsody, as well as music files from your PC in MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and other formats.
Things kick up a bit more with the addition of a second HDMI output, something that's often sought after but rarely included. The 867 also comes equipped with IntelliAmp technology that allows for bi-amp configuration or the use of an additional zone.
All that and more comes in one package for an MSRP of $899.
