The first reveal will take place at the Game Developer's Conference Online on October 10th.
If you're an old school PC gamer, then you no doubt remember 'Wing Commander.' The original game stood as one of the best space sims out there for quite some time and it's still hailed as a PC great. The creator of that series, Chris Roberts, has decided to make a return to PC gaming with a project called 'Cloud Imperium.' And yes, it's a space sim.
Unlike most developers, there's no mention of Kickstarter or any other fundraising programs. Roberts wants support, suggestions and input from fans, but doesn't seem to want money – at least until the game is finished. We've got to admit, that's a bit refreshing.
You can find out more by registering at RobertsSpaceIndustries.com using the passcode "42" when prompted. By doing so you'll also have access to the Game Developers Conference Online presentation that Roberts will be given on October 10th.
