It's going to be a showdown at the high-def corral this September, when Warner Home Video saddles up a trio of western classics including 'Wild Bunch,' 'Wyatt Earp' and 'Gods and Generals.
Stampeding to stores on September 25, Warner will debut all three titles simultaneously on both Blu-ray and HD DVD.
The studio has not yet revealed any specs for the titles, though if past precedent is anything to go by, we can expect the same supplemental features as their standard-def DVD counterparts.
Note also that Warner has not yet specified whether both 'The Wild Bunch' and 'Wyatt Earp' will be the original theatrical cuts, or the extended versions the studio subsequently released on video. We'll keep you posted.
List price will go for a suggested $28.95 a pop.
We've added new listings for all three titles to both our Blu-ray Release Schedule and HD DVD Release Schedule, under September 25. Stay tuned for full details to emerge in the weeks ahead.
