Doug Liman's sci-fi epic starring Tom Cruise heads to Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D this October.
As previously reported, Warner Brothers says 'Edge of Tomorrow' Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack and 'Edge of Tomorrow - 3D' Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will arrive in stores soon, and now the date has been set for October 7.
The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission.
Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop, forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again... and again. But with each battle, Cage is able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). As Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
The releases will feature 1080p video, lossless soundtracks, and supplements will include: Operation Downfall; Adrenaline Cut; Storming The Beach; Weapons Of The Future; Creatures Not Of This World; On The Edge With Doug Liman; and Deleted Scenes.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is set at $35.99 and the Blu-ray 3D is $44.95.
