Warner has announced it will bring the family drama 'August Rush' to Blu-ray this March, with the HD DVD to follow in early April.
After enjoying pleasant reviews and a domestic box office gross of $30 million, 'August Rush' will hit Blu-ray on March 11, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD. In keeping with Warner's current HD DVD release delay strategy, the HD DVD/DVD combo version will follow three weeks later on April 1.
Bonus features are quite limited across all formats, with only a batch of deleted scenes and no high-def exclusives.
Tech specs are identical on both high-def versions, with 1080p/VC-1 video and a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround track.
Warner has set a suggested list price of $35.99 for both the Blu-ray and HD DVD/DVD combo versions.
