Due in stores November 28 (simultaneous with 'Superman Returns'), both 'Superman: The Movie' and 'Superman II' will be presented in 2.40:1 widescreen and 1080p/VC-1 video, and include Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 surround tracks.
Supplemental details and what, if any, HD bonus content may be included have not yet been announced. However, a full release is expected from Warner in the coming days.
Note also that according to the latest information on Warner's official retail and press website, 'Superman: The Movie' will include the 151-minute, 2000 restoration version of the film. Likewise, 'Superman II' will feature the new 116-minute Richard Donner Cut only.
The studio has set a list price of $28.99 for each release. No Blu-ray versions have been announced.
