Following a nearly six-month delay, Universal has set a mid-April Blu-ray date for '8 Mile.'
First announced for a Blu-ray release last November, Universal quickly shelved the planned high-def release of the Eminem smash hit, with no explanation.
The studio has now confirmed a new date of April 14 for the Blu-ray.
Tech specs remain the same, with a BD-25 single-layer presentation with 1080p video and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround. Optional French and Spanish DTS 5.1 Surround tracks are also included, along with English, French and Spanish subtitles.
Extras will also stay the same, with the "Making of 8 Mile" featurette, uncensored "Rap Battles," and a music video.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
