They weren't planned for release until December 26, but Universal says 'The Kingdom' and 'Eastern Promises' will hit stores three days early to get a jump on the ho-ho-ho holiday.
In a surprise treat for early adopters looking for a bit of blood-splattered high-def merriment in their stockings, 'The Kingdom and 'Eastern Promises' will now make their HD DVD bow on Sunday, December 23.
Specs and supplements remain unchanged for both titles. Each is still set to receive the 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround treatment, plus a host of extras including audio commentary, multiple featurettes, and more.
As both titles are HD DVD/DVD combo releases, Universal has set a $39.98 list price for each.
