Newbie UMVD Visual Entertainment has alerted retailers that their debut high-def release 'Postal' will arrive on Blu-ray this August.
Directed by much-derided shlockmeister Uwe Boll, 'Postal' stars Zack Ward as a misfit who sets out to rob his local amusement park while getting mixed-up with a faction of the Taliban. Barely released in U.S. cinemas last year, the film grossed less than $5 million at the box office domestically.
Marking UMVD's first foray into the next-gen arena, 'Postal' has been given a retail street date of August 26 on Blu-ray, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD.
As the full press announce is still to come, there are no tech specs or supplement details as of yet. Stay tuned.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.98.
You'll find preliminary specs for 'Postal' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under August 26.
